Working 37 hours per week on a rotational basis:
Early shift: Monday to Thursday 6.00am-2.00pm and Friday 6.00am-1.30pm
Late shift: Monday to Thursday 9.00am-5.00pm and Friday 11.30am-5.00pm
As an Assistant Mechanic, you will maintain and carry out less complex repairs to the required professional standards, on all vehicles or items of plant presented, ensuring that legal compliance is the minimum standard achieved.
You will participate in maximising workshop efficiency and productivity.
You will have experience of vehicle maintenance and have an aptitude for vehicle and plant engineering.
You will have good communication skills and have the ability to work effectively as part of a team and have the ability to work on your own initiative. You will have an awareness of health and safety and have the ability and willingness to participate in a standby rota and work outdoors in all kinds of weather.
A Category B Driving Licence or equivalent entitlement to drive in Great Britain is essential and you must have no contra indicators to obtaining Category C1, C or C plus E Driving Licence.

Tool allowance - £15.75 per week
Standby Payment - £149.72 per week when on standby
