As a Chargehand Mechanic, you will assist the Workshop Supervisor in organising and running the workshop, ensuring that professional standards of work and legal compliance are continuously achieved and maintained, that standards of workshop efficiency and productivity are optimised and that Health & Safety matters are monitored and addressed.
You will have served a recognised and relevant apprenticeship and hold a Diploma in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles at SCQF level 7 or equivalent.
You will have experience of supervising employees and delegating work tasks with the ability to communicate and motivate team members to achieve results.
You will possess basic IT skills and have an awareness of health and safety.
You will have the ability and willingness to participate in a standby rota and to work outdoors in all kinds of weather.
A Category C Driving Licence or equivalent to drive in Gret Britain is essential and Category C+E is desirable.

Tool allowance - £15.75 per week
Standby Payment - £155.71 per week when on standby
